E-commerceis the buying and selling of products or services electronically over the Internet. It has redefined commercial activities globally, causing brick and mortar stores to become obsolete and pushing core business operations online. The e-commerce giants worldwide include Amazon, Alibaba, eBay and Walmart, who have accumulated revenues exceeding billions of dollars yearly.
Digital Jamaica Live show hosts *Kadia Francis and Monique McIntosh sat down with Barrington McIntosh — Global e-commerce consultant and super seller — to discuss how Jamaicans can make money selling Jamaican products on eBay. In 2009, McInstosh left his job in IT while in the US to pursue e-commerce. Three years later, his 4th-quarter sales landed him on Amazon’s top 25 per cent sellers list. McIntosh has since returned to Jamaica and is now a master seller on all major e-commerce platforms. He is regularly contacted by international brands around the world, including Amazon, to train sellers so they too can replicate this e-commerce success.

The COVID-19 Pandemic is causing massive fallout personally, professionally and in business. We thought that this article When COVID-19 ruins your “perfect” strategic plan, presents a useful framework for reflection, and may help guide you personally and professionally on how to shape your future.
While your company awaits a return to business as usual, should your leadership be thinking about revisiting its strategy? Does the current pandemic mean that you should start the process all over again?
To say that the coronavirus has disrupted business is an understatement.
Even if you are still operating at this time of lockdowns and curfews, you are probably doing so under duress. Nevertheless, you must look ahead.
At some point in the future, employees will have returned to their jobs, continuing to work in the old way. However, it would be a mistake to put your effort into “returning things to normal.” Chances are, there is a new normal and you should adjust to it, rather than seek to drag your business back to an obsolete state.

Would it help to boost your confidence, if you were sure you had a well crafted, value adding resume and/or LinkedIn Profile, which clearly and impressively answers the No. 1 question in a Hiring Manager’s mind “What value will this candidate add to my organization?”
Would you feel more hopeful if you had someone to help you develop a job search or career management strategy so you could get on with your life…with better fit between who you are and what you do, plus better compensation-focus-joy-peace?
Would it mean a lot to you to be able to handle this…wait…period [thewait to find a job, or the wait to find a better job] without feeling fearful, angry, anxious and uncertain?
