VOLUNTEERS WANTED: Staff, Student & Alumni Volunteers for UTech, Ja Open House 2023, Papine Campus, Oct 24th, 25th – Register Today! October 18, 2023

Dear UTech, Jamaica Staff, Students, & Alumni,

Open House is the University’s major recruitment event for showcasing our offerings to our main prospective customers —our High School Students, and their influencers i.e. Guidance Counselors and Teachers, from across Jamaica. Through our Open House, we help our secondary school students clarify their career goals and accept that becoming a successful professional is within their reach.

An average of 2000 students, guidance counselors, and teachers, pass through our University during Open House, which is coordinated by our Student Recruitment Unit.

We would like to form a team of at least 40 volunteers per day. We thank you for volunteering and look forward to your support as noted below.

VOLUNTEER TASKS
Typical support provided by our volunteers include:
>Ushering visitors to designated areas
>Connecting visitors to key staff and units for information e.g. Admission & Enrolment, Scholarships
>Leading Campus Tours

VOLUNTEER DRESS CODE
(We regret we are unable to provide branded clothing due to budgetary constraints)
>Non-sexy top and bottom, appropriate for good name of our University and our High School guests
>Any UTech, Ja branded Shirt/T-Shirt/Polo Shirt; or
>Any shirt of UTech, Ja colours of Navy or Yellow; or
>Appropriate T-Shirt/Polo Shirt
>Pants, skirts, jeans or khaki
>Comfortable shoes for walking around
>UTech, Ja ID if you are staff/student)

*NOTE: Our Volunteers may volunteer all day, or select periods in the day.
