On Wednesday 20th March, 2024, Dr. Kevin Brown, President of the University of Technology, Jamaica (UTech, Jamaica) hosted members of the CAST-UTech Alumni of South Florida and the UTech Alumni Association, New York Metro at a Handover Ceremony of 100 computers and laptops. These computers were a joint initiative of our South Florida and New York Alumni Chapters, assisted by Mrs. Lurline McHayle-Mills, a Jamaican based in New York and a former employee of the United Nations.

From Good to GREAT: UTech Alumni Association New York Metro, Membership Drive

The University of Technology Jamaica (UTech, Jamaica) is supporting the membership drive of the UTech Alumni Assn New York Metro. Our New York Metro Alumni Chapter has a good record of support for UTech, Jamaica. It has been the most consistent Chapter in maintaining connection among its members and in supporting the development of our University over 2 decades. For the last 10 years it has been the only overseas Chapter in operation. Over the years, the Chapter has been consistent in providing support to UTech, Jamaica in the following areas:

>Provision of rehydration fluids to the Penn Relays athletic team

What started out as hope that she would receive a return on the invested time and effort ended in the most favourable outcome for 23-year-old Donale Bryan, who copped the crown and title of Miss Manchester Festival Queen 2023.
