JOAN DUNCAN SCHOOL OF ENTREPRENUERSHIP LEADERSHIP & ETHICS

FULL TIME LECTURER

 

The University of Technology, Jamaica (UTech) is a government institution that provides accredited education programmes at the undergraduate and graduate levels for a diverse student body.  To continue our drive towards stimulating positive change in the Caribbean society through provision of high quality learning and research opportunities and service to our communities, we are seeking to recruit a full-time Lecturer in the Joan Duncan School of Entrepreneurship, Ethics & Leadership.

The successful applicant will make a significant contribution to the University’s teaching and research profile by undertaking teaching across several undergraduate and graduate course work programs, conducting research leading to grants and publications, engaging in consultancy and professional projects, and contributing to the further development of the University.

THE JOAN DUNCAN SCHOOL OF ENTREPRENEURSHIP, EHTICS AND LEADERSHIPdelivers an undergraduate degree programme in Entrepreneurship.   In addition, faculty members are actively involved in research and consultancy relating to issues of Entrepreneurship, Business and Management.  The School is seeking applicants to provide evidence of their research profile and academic/scholarly expertise in the following disciplines:

 

Entrepreneurship; Business Management; Marketing; Behavioral Sciences

 

Academic requirements:                       

 

The successful candidates must be in possession of their doctorate as a terminal degree relevant to this post is of prime importance.  An interest in developing services to industry will also be an important advantage.

 

ADDITIONAL ACADEMIC REQUIREMENTS

 

You will also need to demonstrate a clear commitment to combining research as well as teaching, and show evidence of successful educational practice. You will offer teaching through a variety of means including lectures, practicals, small group tutorials, problem-based learning, and ‘e-learning’ initiatives, and will be expected to innovate in each of these areas.
