Career and Placement Unit



The University of Technology, Jamaica (UTech, Jamaica) seeks to identify a suitable candidate to fill the following post in the Career and Placement Unit:



Administrative Support 2 – Level 5b

(Temporary 1-year)


The Administrative Support 2 will provide confidential secretarial and administrative support services to the Career and Placement Unit.



The preferred applicant should possess:


  • at least a Diploma in Administrative Management or equivalent
  • at least intermediate level Microsoft Office Suite skills.
  • a minimum of two (2) years’ experience in a secretarial post
  • excellent customer service skills
  • sound knowledge of standard office procedures and practices, records and file management systems;
  • excellent administrative, communication, interpersonal skills and the ability to meet inflexible deadlines
