Laboratory Technician – Biology (Level 5B)

 

The University of Technology, Jamaica (UTech, Jamaica), School of Natural and Applied Sciences seek to identify an experienced Biology Laboratory Technician.

ACADEMIC REQUIREMENTS: 

The successful candidate should possess at least a Diploma in Laboratory Technology with specialization in Biology or a Certificate in Science Laboratory Technician or equivalent qualifications.

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS: 

The candidate with a Diploma must have a minimum of two years’ experience as a Laboratory Technician in a Biology Laboratory, while the candidate with the Certificate must have at least 4 years’ experience as a Laboratory Technician working in a Biology laboratory.  He/she must be able to work independently or with minimum supervision, must be competent with spreadsheet and word-processing software, and must possess problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
