ABOUT Fi Wi Jamaica
The University of Technology, Jamaica’s Fi Wi Jamaica project is a national social intervention which seeks to bring awareness to and, ideally, protection for targeted socially oppressed groups and individuals in Jamaica. The project will carry out its chief goal of empowering members of vulnerable, socially excluded groups via social, cultural and economic channels with the end goal of strengthening the public demand and advocacy for the target groups’ respect, dignity, and freedom from discrimination and violence. The project also has a mandate to create a public education campaign. Through workshops, a component of this campaign will focus on tolerance, democracy, civic responsibility, participatory governance and advocacy. https://www.facebook.com/FiWiJA/
