Full Time Lecturer – Faculty of Law


The University of Technology, Jamaica (UTech) seeks to identify an experienced professional to fill the position of Full-time Lecturer in the Faculty of Law at the Papine Campus.


The minimum qualification preferred for the position is an LLM or equivalent.

Applicants should demonstrate a clear commitment to combining research as well as teaching, and show evidence of successful educational practice. Teaching is offered through a variety of means including lectures, small group tutorials, problem-based learning. Experience and/or interest in delivery in an e-learning modality would be considered an asset.

Applicants should also have a strong commitment to student development and outcomes of excellence.

Special Responsibilities

The successful applicant will be required to teach in one or more of the core subjects of the LLB degree, in particular:

      • Human Rights Law
      • Public International Law
      • Taxation (Revenue Law)
      • Banking Law
      • Sports Law
