A company has contacted our School of Computing & Information Technology (SCIT) Cooperative Education Coordinator for assistance in sourcing a Software Developer. Job details are noted below.

Title of Post: Software Developer/Programmer
Project Title: National Disease Surveillance Project

Overview & Responsibilities

Reporting to the Director, Systems and Information Technology Unit, the incumbent will
be a part of a historical initiative by providing specialized inputs in terms of the design,
development, customisation, configuration, testing, audit and documentation with
regards to the GNU Health software for large-scale enterprise level deployment. The
incumbent will be given the opportunity and challenge to participate and contribute to
the e-Health thrust for the Ministry and will work with a team of energetic and
motivated individuals who are passionate about making this country-wide scale of GNU
Health implementation a success for Jamaica. Accordingly, the incumbent will be
expected to develop high quality software.
