Dear Grads, as you strategically responded to the high unemployment locally and in other more advanced nations, we highly recommend that you research and verify employment and scholarship opportunities in other countries. These opportunities may help to bolster you and your family financially, and also facilitate your ongoing personal, professional and business development.

As you may know, for some time now, several of our Jamaican colleagues have successfully gained employment in Japan. This week the Counsellor and Deputy Chief of mission at the embassy of Japan in Jamaican Hiromoto Oyama, advised that Japan was pleased with the contribution that the Jamaican community was making in Japan.

Below we share articles and links for your Research and Verification in the Japan context. We are also in touch with a number of Grads who are now in Japan and can connect you if you wish. We believe that there are life enhancing opportunities globally for our UTech, Ja. graduates and that if you do quality research, verification and network with knowledgeable people you will be #unstoppable in your life and work!

THE Japanese Government says it has been so impressed with the Jamaicans who participate in its annual teaching exchange programme that it has nearly doubled the number of places open to the Caribbean islanders.

“The ministry of education and the local government officials in Japan requested that we send more Jamaicans,” Counsellor and deputy chief of mission at the embassy of Japan in Jamaican Hiromoto Oyama told the Jamaica Observer Tuesday.
