RE: URGENT APPEAL FOR STUDENT IN NEED OF EMERGENCY SURGERY
Thank you for your kind support received to date, towards assisting a student in need of emergency surgery. At this point however, due to a shortfall in the amount needed, the surgery has been rescheduled to Monday, July 13, 2015.
As a result of your kind donations and through the initiative of Dr. Neville Graham, Director, Health Services, UTech, to negotiate a reduced surgeon’s fee, we have managed to reduce the current shortfall to $850,000.00.
We are making a further urgent plea for support from the University community which will be greatly appreciated at this time.
Please see information below on how to make an urgent donation.
Thank you.

Special Appeal for Student in Need of Emergency Surgery
We need your help!
One of our students is facing emergency surgery occasioned by a life-threatening condition, recently diagnosed. A minimum of just under two million dollars (JA$2,000,000.00) is required now if the surgery, which has already been delayed, is to take place on Tuesday, July 7, 2015.
Through its insurance scheme, the University has ensured that the student will have access to one and a half million dollars (JA$1,500,000.00) in part payment of the total costs which are being incurred.
Please make a donation to this cause to the Registrar’s Special Account (10-208A-120) at Accounts Receivables, UTech Papine campus. Cheque donations should indicate “For Emergency Surgery”. Please forward a copy of your receipt to the Office of Student Services, UTech Papine campus or email studentsservices@utech.edu.jm or telephone 927-1680-8, extensions 2204 or 2193.
