School of Engineering

 

An excellent opportunity has arisen within the School of Engineering for the following post:

 

Laboratory Technician (Electrical Engineering) – Level 5B

Responsibilities:-

The Laboratory Technician will be responsible for preparing laboratories for classes and assisting students in conducting and recording experiments.

Requirements:

 

The preferred applicant will possess: a Diploma in Electrical/Electronic Engineering or equivalent qualifications; at least one (1) year experience as an Electrical/Electronic Engineering Technician; Knowledge of electrical wiring; Knowledge of equipment maintenance and repair techniques; Knowledge of contemporary engineering software tools and computer networks; Knowledge of electrical power systems and electronic circuits and systems; Training in circuit/system fabrication and troubleshooting; Good interpersonal skills; Good communication skills; Ability to work under pressure.
