“The UTech Alumni Family here in the greater New York area extends sympathy and support to our fellow Alums. We were proud to honour these two Stars a few years ago and still consider them model citizens. We are especially encouraged with the professional and candor press releases from them. We hope to see them return to the MVP/UTech fraternity soon.”

Sherone it’s important to stay calm and grounded while battling this difficulty in life. Please persevere as the verse states “I can do all things through him who strengthens me.” Philippians 4:12-13”. I have faith in you and I know that it takes strength to be positive and look ahead to the future, but be content and secure as the love of friends and family are there to help you weather these storms and trials that plague us all from time to time.

Sherone, my husband and I watch you religiously every morning as you train so diligently at Stadium East. We know the hard work and many hours that both yourself and Asafa have put in to realise all your achievements to date. We know that it comes with much effort, perseverence and blood, sweat and tears. Please know that we support you totally as you struggle with the many challenges with which you are now faced and we look forward to the day when you can look back and put this down as just another of life’s many challenges and that these, too, will soon pass.

Alway hold your head high! We will always hold you in high esteem and continue to be motivated by your dedication to track & field and to your country.
