Scope of Work – Quality Control Instructor

The role of the Quality Control Instructor is to develop the capacity necessary for participants from the Trench Town community to ensure that crop production, marketing (i.e. packaging, labeling), and distribution are managed with consideration for a high standard of quality and meets Bureau of Standards Certification.

Specifically, this instructor will be responsible for the following areas listed below. Please note the time allocation for each section:

  1. Conducting an initial assessment of the NGO candidates, along with the other participating instructors, to determine the most effective methodology necessary to ensure an effective learning environment. (4 hours)
  2. Develop a manual, along with curriculum, and determine all necessary materials to be used for training sessions. (6 hours)
  3. Teach participants in Quality Control using a hands-on, interactive training methodology that will be useful for persons at a community level, including the training of a designated person from the NGO Board tasked with providing guidance in Quality Control to the Agricultural Business.  This training will be conducted over a three-month period (28 hours)
  4. Conduct a total of six (6) monthly reinforcement sessions, based on independent evaluations of the training course. (12 hours)
  5. Provide an end-of-project report outlining key areas of focus in Quality Control. (2 hours)
